Spinkhill, Chesterfield, Derbyshire

This is a view of the area where St. Mary's College is located. Hopkins left Wales for to work in this countryside, which he found "not very interesting." (Mariani 187)

  1. I wouldn't complain about that countryside (I mean, it's Derbyshire, right? Elizabeth Bennet liked it well enough.) It's definitely more interesting than Chicagoland. But I suppose Wales was hard to beat.
